The Sound Bath Experience
May 10 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
With Nathan Martinez
Registration: click here
Imagine sinking in to a “bath” of soothing sounds that take you on an inner journey of relaxation and transformation. By using frequency and “entrainment,” a sound bath facilitates a shift in brainwaves from our normal waking state to alpha and theta states that are akin to meditation—where true somatic healing can occur.
Nate Martinez, an integrative sound therapist, creates a sound bath by using various techniques with a wide range of instruments that include: shamanic drumming, Biosonic tuning forks, gongs, a shruti box, Himalayan singing bowls, mbiru, chimes, percussion, and overtone singing.
Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, and eye mask (if you choose to cover your eyes during the session).
Please arrive by 6:50pm. The sound bath will begin no later than 7:05 and at that point the doors will be locked to prevent any disruptions. We unfortunately cannot be held responsible and guarantee entry for anyone who arrives late.
Following the sound bath (7-8:30pm) there will be a 30 minute discussion to explore and decode some of your experiences in hopes of providing you with an even greater foundation to intuit what transpired and how you can ultimately benefit. The discussions will include how sound therapy and energy work along with exploring practices like vocal toning and grounding techniques.
